Check the sponsor
Find the sponsor's legal or business name in the official rules. Compare it with the entry domain and privacy-policy owner. A publisher or affiliate may introduce a promotion without being responsible for administration or fulfillment.
Read the official rules
Rules should identify eligibility, entry dates, method, prize, restrictions and the selection or notification process. Save the rules link when you enter. A short advertisement does not override the sponsor's complete document.
Avoid unexpected winner claims
Treat an unexpected call, message or direct message as unverified. Compare the sender, timing and requested steps with the notification process in the rules. Use a contact channel found independently on the sponsor's official site.
Understand requested personal data
Ask why each field is needed, who receives it and whether marketing consent is optional. Read the sponsor's privacy policy before submitting. saveyourmoney does not receive the information entered after an outbound click.
Beware of gift-card and payment requests
Do not send payment details to release a prize or establish eligibility. Do not purchase gift cards and share their numbers with someone claiming to administer a promotion. A purchase should not improve odds when the official rules say it does not.
Leave when the page and rules do not match
Pause if the sponsor changes, the deadline conflicts, the destination domain is unexpected, the privacy link is missing or the entry method differs from the official rules. The safer decision is to wait for clarification.
